Having just received my MP Select Mini a few weeks ago, I have noticed a problem with Cura after generating the G-code that the print starts close to the inside edge of the bed. When repositioning the model in Cura towards the outside edge & re-compiling, the print still starts on the inside edge. I can not find a setting that gives the option instructing the printer to start in the middle of the bed.
I tried again with Repitier-host and it positions the print spot-on in the centre and has the option of starting with the model centered.
Have I missed something in Cura’s settings?
Double check the print bed size in Cura. I had a similar issue, it seemed that Cura was changing the bed from 120 x 120 to other values.
Hi, check in the printer definition. You may have the origin point incorrect.

Hi Andrew
After loading the G-code of the item back in Cura, it showed the centre to the off-side. Will have to re-compile with the correct origin.
Thanks for the quick-fix!

Hi ASliiz
The bed size was correct, another member Andrew identified the origin being in the wrong place. The original compile showed the item being centre but the setting for origin had not been checked and resulted in the printer running off to the inside edge.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Andrew
Turns out you were spot-on! After resetting the origin in Cura to position 0:0 (bottom left) and not “Centre of bed”, the models are placed in the centre of the bed. Have managed quite a few new items in one day!
Many thanks!
