For my graduation research I am looking for a way to design a 3D printed structure that provides sufficient damping in order to protect the electronics inside. The whole structure has to survive a drop from over 10 meters high without permanent deformation. Does anyone have experience with such a design?
I know there are elastoplastics but I want to explore all my options (f.e. concerning wall thickness) and also I hope to get some input on different designs that provide damping (f.e. honeycomb-like structures)
