Hi everyone - I was given the opportunity to present my experiences with the e-nable platform as a maker and designer. The meetup was held at FabLab Breda in the Netherlands and visited by, printing enthusiasts, 3D designers and professionals in prosthetic development and design. Personally I learned a lot from the interaction, feedback and I believe there was great reception on the project.
Please find herewith a link to the presentation as a video. The presentation is in dutch, but a translated version is in the making.
I would love to get responses on this presentation and If you have experiences with e-Nable or in need for someone (me ) to help you out with communications or info please let me know.
- I think reception was great and people interested in helping the e-nable platform will definitely take a step forward.
- People were surprised the platform has a great level of professionalism and is not just a group of 3D printing enthusiasts. On the contrary the printer community is a small part and people can help in many ways.
- Sharing your own perspective and motivation really helps. Explain what’s in it for you, not just the recipient of the e-nable hand. I think people really appreciated this view.
- Professionals in prosthesis and orthotics are embracing the concept and see opportunity. They don’t see it as hobbyists interfering with their business.
- If you need to develop a custom hand - Function before Form - is the mantra. The aesthetics are important, but secondary.
- Furthermore the interaction is inspiring and helped me develop the concepts and direction for current and future projects.
Excellent, I’m not on twitter myself, but the more people learn about e-Nable the better. Would love to hear how they respond to the tread so if you could share some output in a while, I would really apreciate…
