What the best FDM filament to produce a stiff tube around 6mm with 1.2mm wall & 225mm long?
It needs to support around 100g with little to no droop when running horizontal. Is the carbon fibre quite brittle?
Thanks
Nathan

It really depends on a couple things. What is the load on it or how is it loaded? PLA is hard and strong if it is used like a spacer and is easy to print. I would probably give eSun PLA+ a look.
ABS is going to be stronger for lateral loads etc. and handle temps better but can be a pain to print. PETG could be a good solution. These will be your most cost effective solutions I think.
Hi. Sorry I should expand on my requirements. It needs to be outside so PLA won’t do it. I have already tried PETG but its not really that rigid.
Got it! That would pretty much eliminate PLA!
ABS will be a little more rigid than PETG especially on thinner areas.
ASA might be an option. I bought some to try instead of ABS for heavy brackets I made for outside. I never printed something thinner with it so I don’t remember how flexible it is.
I haven’t used anything more exotic yet so really can’t comment.
